On the Steps of the Baha’i Temple

Outside of Chicago, Illinois in the United States is the world’s oldest Baha’i House of Worship. The Baha’i religion, which was established in 1863, is estimated to have between 5 and 8 million members worldwide. Its teachings are based on peace, equality and the unity of all people.

The Baha’i principals are communicated through its Temple’s design by bringing together various elements of religious structures and religious symbols from around the world. There are currently ten existing Temples.
